A fairly nondescript office building aside from the radio tower that sits on top of it. Big red letters down the side spell out WHQN. There are two main floors. Between these two contains a reception area, office space, meeting/break rooms, and two radio studio booths.

The basement is where record storage is kept. Following Crash's takeover of the station and a... dramatic remodeling by fire and Mana's magic, it's now bigger than what the outside of the building would suggest and full of all music from 1980 to 2005, contained within enchanted vinyl records. This same revamp also caused the building to become mildly haunted- playing whatever music it wishes every once in a while.

While roughly alphabetized, record storage is a finite yet winding maze of shelves, cabinets, and tables best left to monsters with supernatural navigation. However, Crash has done his best to put up signs and sets of bells for future volunteers and emergencies respectively. Every record, especially ones that never would've existed in vinyl form, has insurance in the form of a magical enchantment- replacing themselves with a brand new copy when shattered.

Technology-wise, most of the building is on par with the 1950s. Mics and headphones and control boards are all big and clunky and might take a while to get used to. But there are also places where a Simulacrum with the right-sized feeding wires can plug themselves directly into the system.

While a Sim is plugged in, they're able to bring up and control the station's mainframe. It appears to them as a visual overlay that they can change with a holographic keyboard, allowing them to select music across WHQN's vinyl library, import their own music files, create playlists, and control station functions in a much more modern, Spotify-type setup.

This overlay is not visible to anyone else unless they are similarly plugged in.

Finally, there is also an emergency lockdown function, which will bring down large metal plates down over all the doors and windows. This is only usable from the inside.

The House and the Hideout of Fox Hill (WIP)

Sitting on the eastern shore of Lake Dala is a vaguely mushroom-like cottage, the Bandicoot House. It's seen a few upgrades- the addition of electricity, running water filtered from the lake, as well as purchases of 1950's level appliances and gadgets for the kitchen "lobe." Though small, the stone fireplace, cushions, and moose skin rug make things feel quant and cozy within Crash's humble inheritance from Aku Aku.

Hanging on the walls of the living area: a non-functional replica of a motorized jet board decorated in flame decals, one a hand-carved likeness of Aku Aku, the other four a unique rendition of the Quantum Masks (gifted from Noa)

Marked by a set of bead curtains is a hallway that leads into the singular bedroom lobe. The bed itself is a mattress stacked with blankets and pillows like a nest fit for a burrowing animal.

Directly behind the house within the "backyard" is the entrance to the Hideout. Its ventilation shaft juts out from the ground several feet away. On top of the small mound marking the entryway is the statue of a fox that appears centuries old.

Really? Yes, really.

The Crash Bandicoot series may be rated 'E' for everyone, but if you squint between the lines, there are some common themes related to the mad science elements. First and foremost is its fantastical take on animal experimentation as well as animal/anthro abuse found within Crash 4's flashback tapes.

Revive-o-Tron anyone? Within those same tapes is a brief mention of gore, which happens when you run mutants through unethical obstacle courses of death. We also can't forget those attempted brainwashing themes. Once again, mad science-style.

... And finally, there was this one time that N. Brio turned into a pterodactyl mutant and laid an egg, in case nobody ever wants to see even with cartoon discretion. (This is probably the only thing Crash would willingly mention. He adopted the egg.)

Billowing Cloak
Gifted from Noa for Nattensfest (Christmas) 2020, a dark forest green cloak that's plenty warm and more than roomy enough- at least three sizes bigger than his frame. More practical for a minotaur's purposes to lounge in during colder months, but very useful in that regard. Can't leave a fire going all night.

Wumpa Fruit Tree
Gifted from Mana for Nattensfest (Christmas) 2020, a three-foot-tall tree acclimated to Ryslig's weather. Sprouts wumpa fruit as fast as a citrus tree can for three-quarters of the year.

The fruit tastes distinctly of a hybrid between apple and mango, with a soft orange/green skin that yellows in the middle as it matures, and bright purple flesh that overall ripens like a peach.
May cause allergies including itching, redness, hives, or oozing in severe cases. Do not consume if you are predisposed to reactions with tropical fruits.

Nattensfest Snowglobe
Gifted from Mana for Nattensfest (Christmas) 2021, a snowglobe depicting a unique happy moment.

The scene inside depicts Crash, his sister Coco, and ex-girlfriend Tawna curled up by the fireplace of their island cottage. Hovering in a protective manner above the peaceful pile of mutant bandicoots is the wooden mask form of Aku Aku.

When shaken, glittery feathers of every color imaginable scatter and flutter about until they eventually settle.

(Alt)Tawna's Snowglobe
Gifted from Mana to Tawna for Nattensfest (Christmas) 2021, eventually passed down into Crash's possession.

The happy moment inside depicts a much more punk rock-looking Tawna with her universe's Crash and Coco all seated under a palm tree, a sunset in the background. Tawna’s arms are looped over the other bandicoots' shoulders, holding them close to her.

When shaken, pink, orange, and yellow glitter rains down on the scene, making the sky in the background seem to darken into night. Once the glitter settles it looks like a sunset again.

Goggles
Gifted from the Nattenskatt, along with temporarily stinking of cat bile, for Nattensfest (Christmas) 2022.

A simple pair of seemingly innocuous goggles with round lenses, but Crash recognizes them.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

As his normal self, despite being a 'bandicoot', Crash is so mutated that he doesn't really look like one- thanks to his bright orange and yellow fur, lack of a tail, flat human-like nails on his hands, and soft plantigrade paws. He still has the signature Eastern-barred stripes, but he would never run around without his shorts.

While humanized by the Fog God's power, Crash distinctly resembles an Australian Aboriginal of Tazmanian descent. But the only thing normal about his appearance in this state is the deep tan of his skin; he retains the candy red hair and bright green eyes of his original form. Also, his irises/pupils still get twitchy occasionally, shrinking and dilating randomly when stressed or overexcited.

His transition into a minotaur resembles a red river hog. Aside from blunt hippo-like hooves and otherwise boar-like features, Crash is otherwise pretty close to his normal self... with added benefits. After a purchase from Mana in January 2023, his feet were remolded into vaguely paw-shaped draconic talons.

No matter his form, Crash tends to weigh a bit lighter than he proportionally should, which is a bit more noticeable while human. By choice, he still consumes an incredibly high volume of fruit on a daily basis compared to everything else in a healthy diet.

In fog form, Crash doubles in height and muscle, which most of the time makes ambling around on all four limbs feel more comfortable than remaining upright. Instead of cheery orange and yellow, his palette darkens into rusty maroon with a tan underbelly, deep brown hair, and a beard-shaped streak of black fur. This red fur darkens even further along his forearms- as if he was wearing fingerless gloves on top of sleeves a shade lighter. An extra set of babirusa tusks protrude from the bridge of his snout, while another pair spears forward from his maw. His eyes burn bright yellow with a marking underneath that glows a poisonous green.

Across all forms as of November 4th, 2022... through Elias's (the 4th god) power regardless of alignment, a mark has manifested- parallel loops of circuitry lines were drawn onto Crash's left wrist and dorsal half of his hand, running along the length of his fingers before expanding into the rest of the skin at the distal joints, almost like most of the "liquid" is settled within his fingertips. It shines bright with neon blue energy, with the fur follicles directly above the mark rendered colorless and hollow.

Bardcore: Any music played on an instrument will lull nearby humans into a vulnerable, dream-like state.

Fierce Temper: Becomes more volatile and aggressive in response to stress, particularly during times of hunger, sleep deprivation, and in defense of loved ones
